Bernard Lockley's European Train Holiday - An M9 Monochrom
I went on a train based holiday to Berlin, Prague and Vienna. I took a Leica M to take colour photographs but my main aim was to use an M9 Monochrom.
I really enjoyed using this and thinking in black and white again.
I've selected a number here taken around Berlin's railway transport.

By Alan Humphries: Very well done Bernard on all counts. I love the architectural angles in your compositions and admire you discipline in using only Monochrome, something I have found difficult to do. Granted I dot have a Leica Monochrome so it is all to easy to with between monochrome and colour. I suppose it is little like going out with just one lens, you adapt your photography to suit the lens and circumstances.
Thank you for sharing your photos with us, I look forward to see more in due course.
With Best Wishes, Alan.
By David Askham: Well done Bernard and Ken for jointly compiling this week's contribution to the LF Website. What a remarkable achievement and a stimulus to everyone. I salute you, Bernard, for persevering with your Leica photography against formidable odds. Many congratulations!
By Cled Lewis: The M9 mono is a beautiful camera and as these images demonstrate produces showcase pictures in the right hands and Bernard’s shots of the station prove this.
I recall on a Fellowship weekend in Beaumaris, Bernard and Erwin Puts were comparing their newly acquired M9 mono cameras and their potential.
You chose well Ken, thank you both.
