Keith Mason - Llanfair and Welshpool Railway

The photo records activity at Llanfair Caereinion station, the western terminus of the Llanfair and Welshpool Railway, (a heritage narrow gauge line in north Wales), visited during the Spring 2023 meeting at Llandrindod Wells.
A wet overcast day but a sudden burst of sunshine and good luck provided the opportunity for a picture, which would be nothing without the reflection. I would like to think the GWR bench seat was a survivor from the time when the Great Western Railway owned the line, however passenger services were withdrawn in 1931. The line lingered on as freight only until closed by British Railways in 1956.
The camera used was a Leica D-Lux (type 109) compact.
