We Wish You A Good Christmas And A Safe and Healthy New Year

We hope all members and visitors to our site have a good Christmas, whatever your plans and that 2025 gives you a safe and healthy time!
When it came down to deciding what photographs to post with these wishes the mind turns to all the usual 'features' of Christmas, food, drink, family, cards, snow, Christmas trees. So here's a selection. Now according to forecasts for our area Christmas and New Year weather will either be sunny or at worst overcast. However we all know that that might change.
So here are some snow scenes from November 2024!
Then there's a photograph of a Leica M series on our Christmas tree. If you have asked Santa for a nice new M series, be careful, he may deliver one of these.
Good wishes from friends and relations are an important part of this time of year whether delivered on a card or via social media (now there's a term I parents would've wondered about!)
So I took a small selection of cards to post here. Some cards are very personal, sent by other photographers, others are those bought from the card shops and charities. We've had robins, Father Christmas, snow scenes, wildlife portraits, Christmas bouquets, Christmas trees and other such subjects. However, until this morning we had not received a card depicting some aspect of the Nativity. I wonder what subject mix there would have been when the Leica was introduced to the world.
